friends at a much needed time!

this past week was pretty crazy. i was trying to fight off the sickness. the beginning of the week was pretty miserable. but as the week went on, it was starting to feel a little better. but life kept going at the crazy pace, and everything seemed to go wrong. since i've moved it seems like i can't get my head above water. and friday, it definitely seemed like someone was holding me underwater.

in times like these, it's always my friends who seem to be the ones who help me out. i can't thank them enough for their friendship. on friday, i was having a horrible day...everything was going wrong. and it was just piling up. i came home and was almost in tears when stephen called. he told me that he'd call me back in a few minutes. but then about 20 minutes later, there was a knock on the door. i looked through the peephole and it was stephen. i opened the door and he was standing there with 2 starbucks cups in his hand. he holds one out. "white chocolate mocha?"

my problems didn't instantly go away, but it definitely made things better. then while stephen was here, robyn called and gave me another reminder of just how great my friends are.

this weekend seemed to be a big reminder of just how great friendship is. the people i have in my life are so great, and they love me. and it's great to just be reminded of that.

my friend, cynthia had her 30th birthday party here in town this week. there were a lot of people who came in from out of town to celebrate with her. it was so much fun seeing people i worked camp with over the years. it was a good weekend to just be surrounded by friends i don't get to see often.
